Anyone ever used ClickADeal.com?

February 12th, 2009 § 6

I know a few of you read this – I need to ask you a question: have you ever bought anything online from www.clickadeal.com? And if so, did it go smoothly?

I made a purchase to the value of £151.56 on Sunday night (2nd Feb), delivery estimate given to be 4-6 working days. The money left my account via Google Checkout that day, and I received a mail saying that the item had been shipped same day, which seemed excellent, as it was a Sunday.

However it has yet to turn up, and 2 messages sent to the seller via Google Checkout have yielded no reply, and both the phone numbers I have found for these people give “unobtainable”, which makes me somewhat nervous.

Anyone?

Never used them, but ukdata.com yields a bit of info – last accounts lodged in 2007! http://is.gd/jj1i

At least there's an address, so you could send the boys round…

    Best of luck, mate.

Clive,I am doing the same as you really, checking if this company or website is legit and I came across your comment. Fortunately to date I havn't parted with any money. The deals on offer via their site are extremly tempting and ridiculously low in comparison. However my scam radar kicked in and I thought I should check them out. at least with a "google" and see what turns up. When its too good to be true, then instinct would suggest that it is too good to be true. I hope for your sake and your money it turns out OK. if it doesn't let people know so no one else gets ripped off. Good Luck my friend. GEEZIT

Update: I filed a complaint in Google Checkout and sent ClickADeal another message on Friday 13th. Received an email saying it had shipped with DHL and giving me a tracking number on Saturday 14th. It arrived on the morning of Monday 16th. Item exactly as it should be, brand new, unopened, everything hunky dory.

Seems obvious to me that it never shipped when they originally said it did. I feel I should give them the benefit of the doubt, as the day it was supposed to ship was the Snow Day – Monday 9th.

I'd be VERY hesitant to deal with them again, though.

    Cheers,

I have just read the comments about Click a Deal.com. And I to feel that they are only out to scam people. I placed an order for a camcorder (sony hdr cx11e) for £500+ on the 7th june 2009 everything seemed ok at first, emails saying order processed, delivery time of 4-6 working days. During this time i tracked my order but it still said processed, I found phone number for them which turned out to be a voicemail box in america, left messages for them to contact me regarding my order and sent them various emails but never had any replies to any communications from me. I have since contacted my credit card company and they have sent me a dispute form, as when i spoke to them it appears that they have made payment for the item to Click A Deal. It is now 28th june and still no camcorder. I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE YOU NOT TO USE THESE DUE TO MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY. Lets hope that my credit card company can sort this issue out for me.
