Hmmm. I have decided to ratify what I shall now call the First Jones Amendment, so Vader is off the Council of Evil, to be replaced by Emperor Palpatine. I also welcome Number Six to the Order of Action Heroes, and have purchased some reading material to help me to decide whether Mr. DiGriz may also join the Order.

My fave from the series is the Stainless Steel Rat For President, which I reckon has some resonance today.
I like the Rat as much as the next man, probably more, but I’m not sure he belongs in the order. I would have thought the Saint a better candidate (nb: very definitely not the tv version, rather Charteris’s supremely excellent book-hero).
The other two thoughts which occurred to me were Buffy and Neo.
I discounted Neo offhand from a mostly “Too fucking powerful” standpoint. I mean, either you’re in Neo’s universe, in which case he’s effectively got supreme power, or you’re not, in which case he’s just an average Joe.
Buffy is interesting though. I would never have thought of her, because I can’t fucking stand the program, but she certainly fits the criteria.
