Genius. I’m more a coder than a programmer (though I’m doing more programming in my new job than I was at my last - yes, JavaScript counts as programming) but this applies to all developers.
The chairs is the most common downfall. People seem unable (or unwilling) to grasp the two basic principles: i) if I have to take even half a day off due to back problems, or RSI caused by improper sitting posture which could have been solved by a decent chair, then that is costing the company almost the price of a decent Herman Miller; ii) if you are uncomfortable, you are distracted, and if you are distracted, you are not working well.
Actually, that one applies to designers too - or perhaps all people who spend all day working with computers. Back problems are bad, mmmkay.
