Well, I think I’ve now found my musical Yin and Yang, and these can currently be characterised by the two playlists I have on my 4Gb MP3 player.
One is titled “rockfuck.m3u” and contains, as you would expect if you know me, Guns N’ Roses, Slash’s Snakepit, Skid Row, L.A. Guns, Little Monkeys, Van Halen, Buckcherry, and other assorted hard rawk bands.
The other is simply titled “ambient.m3u” and contains many assorted works from Brian Eno, Harold Budd and John Foxx. Things like “Music For Airports”, “Translucence”/”Drift Music” and “Lovely Thunder” now make up a large part of my listening.
Don’t panic though - I’m still rocking out most of the time.
